Day 1: NaBloPoMo
I wouldn’t say that the shit has hit the fan, pardon my French, however, we came pretty darn close.
I received a rather nasty e-mail from our worthless tenants that contained unfounded accusations this afternoon. Fun times. I have documented proof that her claims are false; it’s not just our word against hers. Our lawyer has advised that we offer no compromises, stick to our guns, and boot the bitch out. I paraphrased a bit here, lol. I responded to the aforementioned e-mail, following my lawyer’s instructions to a “T” and the house will be going on the market Monday. There’s no going back.
After I stopped being unbelievably angry at being accused of CRAP, I am really pleased with the results of our communication with the shiftless tenants and the advice of our lawyer. It will all work out in the end.
7 days until we leave on our vacation.

You know what, they are the irresponsible ones and they basically dug their own hole. I bet their email was pretty laughable.
ReplyDeleteGood for you for not letting them get you down. Sounds like they are trying to put part of the blame on you and it isn't going to work. Just makes them look worse.

Pam~~Thanks. I really don't understand why they are so surprised. It's not as if they weren't aware of writing me bad checks.
ReplyDeleteDana~~Thanks to you too! They've been passing off the blame since the first bad check. It's pretty ridiculous. First, it was their bank's fault, then it was the cable company's fault (that's really what she said last year), and now it's my fault. I'm curious to know what story they'll tell people when they move. Oh well.
