No. I'm not going. I said this to the Mister, but I feel like a kid who woke up Christmas morning to find nothing under the tree. I really want to go. In the worst way. When we found out we were moving here, one of the very first things that I did was look to see if there were still tickets available. All I could find were tickets for the last day and I didn't really want to see any of the panels scheduled for Sunday. Even though, over the months, the schedule has changed a bit, I still don't care to see any of the Sunday panels so it turned out to be a good decision. Still, I feel left out. I would give my first born (not really but you get my drift) to see the
Big Bang Theory, Dexter, True Blood, and
Chuck panels. UGH!! I'm sad.
For you haters out there that think Comic Con is for geeks and nerds OR for those of you living under a rock that have never heard of it...
GEEKS WILL RULE THE WORLD ONE DAY!!!! Get with the program.
I'm dying to go the the London Film and Comic Con one day. It is so badly advertised that I seem to miss out on it every year! In 2007/08/09 I already had plans and now that I remember to check, 2010 happened two weeks ago. Considering how well everything else is advertised in London, I guess I get complacent and expect the advertising to fall in my lap.
ReplyDeleteEmm~~Outside of San Diego, I honestly have no idea how well this Comic Con is advertised. It's such a big deal for the city, it's always all over the news. It was sold out in advance though, so they must do a pretty good job.
ReplyDeleteYou should attend your Comic Con, I'll attend mine, and we'll compare notes! ;)
Well, I will absolutely try to go next year then! Of course, I seem to have rather rapidly and conveniently forgotten how much my little trip to Serbia at the beginning of the month exhausted me and am planning to do that again in the first couple of weeks of July 2011 again. So maybe I won't make it to Comic Con after all. Again. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteOh, I would have totally wanted to go if I lived out there. But, doesn'tthe tickets sell out to those pretty quickly? I wish I had thought more about it last summer and made it out there. I would have loved to have seen all the LOST cast before their swan song. *sigh*
ReplyDeletePam~~Yeah. Tickets sell out fast. Passes that included Preview Night for 2011 sold out before Comic Con 2010 was over. The rest of the passes go on sale 11/1 at 9 am PST though. I'll be online waiting to get mine bright and early. ;)
