Music

Is it just me or does music suck more nowadays than it did say, 5+ years ago? I opened up iTunes for the first time in two weeks and the same lousy songs that were in the Top 100 are still there! I don't listen to the radio for the same reason: they play the same stinky ten songs over and over and over until you wanna jab your eardrums out. Has it always been like that and I'm just showing my age or what?? I'm in a music funk and I hate it when that happens.

My Ben and Jerry's Coffee Heath Bar Crunch ice cream gave me heartburn. Good excuse to stay up late and read, heheh.

  1. Well, I'm only 19, and I'm not particularly fond of today's music either. It just seems like all songs sound exactly the same--not to mention the fact that lyrics are absolutely horrendous. There are few good songs here and there, but a few counterexamples don't disprove the theory, I suppose.

  2. And here I was just thinking about how many new artists there are out there that I like. :-) My music taste is pretty broad, but I go through cycles where I one particular type of music dominates. I'm going through a shift and that might explain my sudden interest.

I'm with you though on radios playing the same 10 songs over and over again. It's been like that forever though.

  3. I think it's always been like that - it just didn't bother me as much when I was younger!

The Ben and Jerry's ice cream sounds yummy - I think I'll have to get me some of that the next time I go to the store.

  4. Mark~~You're right about the songs sounding the same. There are a few that I can think of right now that I thought they were all the same artist and found out it was three different women, lol. Oh well.

LF~~You need to pass on who you are liking right now. Maybe I just need some new artists to listen to.

Daphne~~I figured my age would play a part in why the radio bothers me now, lol. ;) Def try out the ice cream. It's great.
