Had To Share

This is funny.

We have ants, both inside and outside. It’s a way of life down here. We have fire ants outside and the tiny little black ants inside. Good thing it’s not the other way around, right?  Anyway, I got up this morning and found them swarming in the sink that I bleached before I went to bed last night for just this reason. What attracted them, I don’t know. In my zest to drown them, I turned on the water and attempted to pull out the sprayer. Well, the sprayer hose keeps getting caught on a pipe under the sink so I yanked on it real hard and sprayed myself in the head, lmao. If I had ants in my hair, I killed them.

  2. Hilarious! Reminds me of how my mom used to put a rubberband around the sprayer on April Fools Day so that whoever turned the water on would get sprayed in the face.

  3. We get ants here in Vegas as well. It's the heat more than anything else.

  4. Pam~~Cold water in the head was a definite wake up, lol.

Smallworld~~That's funny. I need to do that one year. ;)

Vegas~~We had ants when we lived in Cali too because of the heat. Those kind of visitors are really hard to get rid of.

  5. We have ant problems here as well. They drive me nuts! We recently found this awesome stuff called Terro Ant Killer. It comes in a little orange box. You just put a little bit of it on a small piece of cardboard and put it anywhere you've seen ants (inside or outside). A bunch of ants will come to eat it, but within a day, they will take it back to their colony and it will kill them all. It's great stuff, only like $4. Not sure how toxic it is to dogs, though, so you might want to be careful where you put it.

  6. Lady B~~Swarming flying ants?!?! That sounds awful. I hope they go away soon.

Jacki~~Thanks for the tip!! We had the little black ones last year and I gave up on getting rid of them and just started putting everything that I could into the fridge, lol. I'm definitely going to try out the Terro Ant stuff.
