The Smell of Sunblock in the Afternoon

Isn't it lovely? And worthless. Does sunblock freaking work??? All four of us used an SPF of 50 and we ALL got sunburned. WTF is up with that?? And don't say that it needs to be reapplied or that it expires. We bought it brand new last night and reapplied it. I think it's a marketing ploy to get people's money. But despite all that we had a great time at the beach today. Since it's a Thursday, it wasn't packed with people like it is on the weekends.

The beach is a sociologist's paradise. We made camp behind these two girls that were there before us and a guy that showed up about an hour before we left. All three of them were eye candy and it was hilarious watching them check each other out. Every time the guy got up to go swimming, the girls' heads would turn and watch him the whole way out. C said they reminded him of prairie dogs, lmao. Then, this group is Hispanic guys showed up and they started feeding the seagulls which resulted in a huge flock of them flying over us. It was pretty neat though cuz one guy had them literally eating out his hand. Before all that, a kid was eating a snack which attracted the gulls. He had to run out in the ocean screaming the entire way to get away from them. The whole beach was laughing it was so funny. Also, a harrier flew over head today too. It's the only one I've ever seen fly over the whole time we've been going to this beach. C said the pilot was probably show boating because that isn't the normal flight pattern. It scared the living daylights out of a lot of people cuz he flew low and it was LOUD.

Now we're all resting and recuperating. Being at the beach takes a lot out of you.
