We had some pretty freaky weather earlier this week. Yeah. The first named storm of the season and it caused more damage before it even became a named storm. This explains why my yard has more branches in it than the trees do. This doesn't bode well for the hurricane season seeing as how it doesn't officially start until June 1st.
Over the weekend, the U.S. Coastguard made 6 helicopter rescues off the shores of N.C. because of idiots trying to sail in what ended up being a subtropical storm. MORONS! And a Marine from Cherry Point died Sunday while trying to rescue two kids that were caught in a rip current at the very beach we go to. This man saved those kids and died in front of his own. His funeral was yesterday. Why can't people use more sense when it comes to the ocean?
